Located in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, this beautiful land is known for its serene enchantment upon the hearts of tourists. The Lakeview Terrace Cafe
Anyone would want the awesome views of the lake while sipping some tea or coffee. The Lakeview Terrace Cafe is for all such people. Sit outside, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and munch on your favorite snacks. It is quite popular in the afternoons, with many people hanging out, sipping tea, snacking on local pastries, and soaking up in the peaceful vibe.
DC-3 Airplane Cafe
This was my personal favorite on my journey to Skardu city. If you haven’t heard about the DC-3 airplane cafe then let me take you back for a moment. This cafe was housed inside a vintage Douglas DC-3 plane that once flew for Pakistan International Airlines, it was a flight from Skardu to Rawalpindi but had to make an emergency landing on the Indus River, after this plane was officially purchased by Shangrila Resort Hotel. It took 3 months approx for this plane to be brought to Shangrila Resort on rollers from the crash site. It is now an exquisite cafe, and the interior has turned into a cozy dining area, where you can enjoy your appetite time while taking pleasure in Upper Kachura Lake views.
